"Herrmann would have been delighted, though perhaps not surprised, at the growing amount of attention attracted by his music in recent years. There has been interest from a whole new generation who were not even born during his lifetime. It is for this reason that we have finally come round to creating this official website to deal with the increasing demand and interest in Herrmann's work".
Norma HerrmannBernard Herrmann's most famous works are his scores for films such as Citizen Kane, Taxi Driver, Psycho, Vertigo & North By Northwest. These are among the most admired, revered and respected in cinema history and today his themes are weaving their magic once again on a completely new generation. An example of this is his theme for 'Twisted Nerve', which has recently been used for both the Quentin Tarantino film 'Kill Bill' and a Renault television advertising campaign across Europe...
It is through this website that we will be promoting the works of Bernard Herrmann - through commercial releases, concert performances, radio, cinema, television and into the 21st century via new digital media. In addition to instigating new projects we will be encouraging organisations such as The New York Philharmonic in the USA, The National Film Theatre in London, and countless others to 'open their doors' to Herrmann so that a new audience can appreciate the drama of the Herrmann experience.
We will also be handling commercial and promotional requests in respect of all publishing, licensing and image rights.
However, as we are primarily Herrmann's 'management office' we don't have the time or space to delve below the surface to the 'fine print' of Herrmann's music, but would steer you towards our links page which we're certain will be of interest to both new converts and ardent fans alike. In particular we would draw your attention to the Bernard Herrmann Society, a truly wonderful Herrmann fansite.
